Write to Charlotte: A Letter-Writing Space

Sometimes it’s easier to begin by writing.

If you’re not ready to book a session – or you simply express yourself better on paper – you can write to me here. A therapeutic letter can help you untangle what’s going on, release what you’ve been holding, and find your next step.

You choose how I respond:

  • Private reply to you, or
  • Anonymously shared (only with your clear need and permission)

Why write a letter?

Letter-writing can be a powerful way to process emotions when:

  • you feel overwhelmed or stuck
  • you’re holding a lot in your body or mind
  • you want to express something you can’t say out loud
  • you’re working through a relationship, a life event, grief, or a difficult experience
  • you want clarity, closure, or simply a place to be honest

You don’t need perfect words. This is a space to write as you are – messy, raw, and real.

What you can write about

You might write about:

  • what happened
  • how it affected you
  • what you needed then (and what you need now)
  • what you’re angry about, sad about, confused by, or longing for
  • what you want to let go of, understand, or change

Some people write to a person. Some write to a younger version of themselves. Some write to “life,” to their anxiety, to their grief or simply to me.

Prompts to help you start

Use any of these, or ignore them completely:

  • I didn’t like it when…
  • I’m angry that…
  • It hurt(s) when…
  • I feel sad about…
  • I don’t understand why…
  • I get scared when…
  • I regret…
  • I wish…
  • I need…
  • What I want you to know is…

If it fits, you can also include:

  • I would like…
  • I appreciate…
  • What I’m asking for is…
  • I want to respond by… (e.g., private reply / anonymous share with permission)

How it works

  1. Write your letter – share only what you feel ready to share.
  2. Add a little context (optional): your age, what’s been going on, and what you’d like from my response.
  3. Choose your response type:
    • Private reply, or
    • Anonymous share (I will only share with your explicit consent)

All letters are treated with care and confidentiality. If you choose an anonymous share, we’ll agree together what is safe to include.
